Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. The Blueprint fee

The Blueprint is a paid discovery service that produces a real deliverable — your written build plan and fixed quote. The fee is a fixed, non-refundable amount because it pays for work performed, not for a conversation. If you go on to commission a build within the period stated in your quote, the full fee is credited against your first build invoice, so it costs you nothing extra.

2. Consumer cancellation rights (if you are a consumer)

If you are buying as a consumer (not for business), you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 in which you can cancel a service for a refund.

Because the Blueprint is delivered quickly, we begin work at your request. If you ask us to start within the 14-day period, you agree that work begins immediately and you acknowledge that once the service is fully performed you lose the right to cancel; if you cancel after work has started but before it is complete, you may be charged for the work done up to that point.

3. Business clients

If you engage us for business purposes, the statutory consumer cooling-off period does not apply. The Blueprint fee is non-refundable as set out in section 1.

4. Builds

Builds are quoted individually and paid in milestones. If a build is cancelled part-way through, you pay for the work completed and any non-recoverable costs committed up to the cancellation date; anything paid in advance for work not yet done is returned. The specifics are set out in your build agreement.

5. Payment problems

If you are charged in error or something goes wrong with a payment, contact us straight away and we'll put it right.

6. How to request a refund or cancel

Email build@veratusconsulting.com with your name and the details of your order. We'll respond within a couple of working days.
